The 3 Calibration Imperatives
Through automated, interactive micro-simulations, volunteers practice coaching simulated learners in challenging scenarios. The system evaluates voice pacing, vocabulary, and physical intervention.
1. Jargon Elimination
The calibration engine detects and flags technical idioms ("browser tabs", "URL", "cache", "cloud credentials") and trains volunteers to use accessible, concrete mental models.
2. Patient Pacing
Volunteers are trained to observe the 8-second rule: allowing vulnerable citizens sufficient cognitive space to process instructions without unsolicited interjections.
3. Hands-Off Discipline
The most critical habit: never grabbing the device. If a mentor touches the screen, the learner never builds the motor memory needed for independent execution.
